Here I will show you the various Daw’s, Synthesisers & effects I use to Produce, Mix & Master my music

DAW’s

At College I was taught solely how to use Logic Pro X, meaning this was my choice of daw for a while. In the present day I still use Logic for vocal processing and mastering as I find it as the best daw to compete these tasks, However in the start of 2020 I purchased Ableton Live 10. I have found producing instrumentals for songs much easier and diverse in Ableton. I also find that sound creation and manipulation to be very unique in Ableton. By using these Daw’s together, I am very happy with the music I am able to produce

Synthesisers

My Two synthesisers of choice are Massive and Serum. I believe both are capable of creating a large variety of sound from gritty to clean. I feel the unique features in both of these synthesisers help me to create signature sounds for my songs. I have also liked creating unique sounds for game audio using these synthesisers. I also use stock plugins found in Logic and Ableton as well.

Mixing & Mastering

I currently don’t own any paid for mixing plugins. To mix my tracks I will either use stock plugins in my DAW or free plugins from the internet. Some of these include Izotope Vinyl, Pitch Proof, KiloHearts free plugins, OTT, Xfer Serum Audio Effect Rack & Mjucr to name a few. This is mainly because I believe that a good mix can be achieved by stock or free plugins, and it is also because of financial issues as some paid plugins don’t come cheap. For Mastering I have paid for the affordable Izotope ozone  8. Some of my earlier tracks have been mastered with stock plugins, but I feel  that the master lacks a bit. I feel like Ozone comes with everything I need to master my audio. My masters may not be as professional as ones done in the studio but I believe they are good & affordable enough for my hobby.
